Overview
GarageWish is a simple tool that helps you search for and save car images. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Stored in Your Browser
When you save cars to your collection, this data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Search Queries
When you search for cars, your search query is sent to our servers and then to third-party image search services to retrieve results. We cache search results on our servers to improve performance but do not associate these queries with any personal information.
Anonymous Analytics
We keep anonymous, aggregate counts of activity - such as how many searches and saves happen and which car searches are popular - to understand how GarageWish is used. This is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and we do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. To tell visitors apart for these counts, our server derives a temporary, scrambled code from your IP address; this code changes every day, and we never store your IP address.
No Account or Personal Information
GarageWish does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details.
Cookies
We do not use cookies.
Affiliate Links
GarageWish participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Some outbound links (for example, the "Shop on Amazon" buttons that suggest die-cast model cars) are affiliate links. When you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies and receive a referral tag so any resulting purchase is credited to us; this is governed by Amazon's privacy notice, not ours. We do not share any of your information with Amazon — clicking is entirely your choice. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
